ULA Melbourne sales team expands

The ULA Melbourne sales team continues to grow, with the addition of Marcel Takac as Branch Manager and Tony Lukeman as Client Account Manager.

 

 

 

 

Marcel Takac
Marcel has over twenty years experience in the entertainment industry with sixteen years at the Arts Centre Gold Coast (ACGC) one of Australia’s busiest and most vibrant entertainment venues.  He has an in-depth understanding of technical production logistics, having managed the technical departments for over seven years, coordinating hundreds of local, national and high-profile, international events. 

Marcel was instrumental in technical development and significant infrastructure investment , making ACGC a modern and well-equipped facility.  He has always been actively involved in industry programs and activities, including strong participation in the Northern Australian Regional Arts Centres Association (NARPACA) technical forums, training, industry events, as well as broader, national networks.  His most recent role as Venue Services Manager, involved the coordination of capital projects and future planning for ACGC. 

With extensive management experience, Marcel joins the Melbourne team as Branch Manager to oversee the Victorian operations and provide additional support to our customers and staff. 
 

Tony Lukeman
Tony comes to ULA from a background of stage and entertainment lighting.  Starting his career in as a house technician at the University of Leeds, Tony was part of the team responsible for technical upkeep and operation of the theatres, concert and nightclub venues.

As a freelance lighting technician, Tony went on to work at venues around the country gaining experience in design, rigging, programming and operation of lighting rigs of all sizes. Working for P&O Cruises gave Tony the opportunity to travel the world while lighting shows in their state of the art theatres.  After joining the rental division of PRG Lighting in 2006 Tony worked extensively with the corporate, international touring, regional and West End theatre markets and left the position of Project Manager at the beginning of  2010 to move with his wife to Australia.

Based at our Port Melbourne office Tony is focused on providing world class service to  support our professional customers and product range.
