More ROBE for The Arts Centre Gold Coast Print E-mail
ULA News - ULA updates

The Arts Centre Gold Coast (ACGC) has recently upgraded their Robe moving light stock, purchasing Robe ROBIN® 300E Spot’s and Robe ColorSpot 250AT’s.  After their last purchase of the ColorWash 750AT Tungsten’s, The ACGC decided to stick with Robe to complete their rig, replacing their other stock making it a complete Robe rig. “The Tungsten’s have been working for 2 years in their lighting rig and since then have not had one fault, so it was easy to go with Robe again”, says Senior Lighting Technician Jesse Radatti  from the ACGC.

The ROBIN® 300E Spot is a new addition to the Robin range with features such as a punchy profile, linear zoom and a full package of colour rotating gobos. Jesse said that he liked the fixture as it was compact, had smooth colour mixing, wide zoom and especially value for money. Alex Fox, Senior Lighting Technician from the ACGC says “My first reaction to the fixture was – “Wow! Those features in that small fixture are so punchy for a 300!. The best feature about the ROBIN® 300E Spot is that it links straight into our GrandMA networking system making the system very easy to use”.

GCAC is located in Surfers Paradise, the region’s premier cultural facility. The new ROBIN® 300E Spot and Robe ColorSpot 250AT’s have been on every show since their purchase. Jesse says “All the lighting guys at the ACGC and the guys from the touring shows we have through here absolutely love using the new fixtures. We are really happy with our purchase”.
