New elegant lighting for Australian Museum in Sydney Print E-mail

Sydney based lighting Company - Creative Lighting and Audio  were appointed to  supply a new energy efficient, dynamic lighting system for the major retail food area of iconic Australian Museum in Sydney. Twenty fixtures of Anolis ArcPad 48 RGBW’s were installed in the Café area of the museum, providing the historical space with a unique inviting and elegant atmosphere.

The Australian Museum is the oldest museum in Australia, with an international reputation in the fields of natural history and anthropology. It is one of the leading cultural attractions of Sydney. It offers a number of first class permanent exhibitions as well as a number of ever changing special exhibitions and events.

NIDA (The Australian National Institute of Dramatic Art) in Sydney is a centre of excellence in training for theatre, film and television. NIDA's primary role is to select and train exceptionally gifted young people at a tertiary level, preparing them for careers in theatre, film and television.

NIDA’s award winning and spectacular theatre complex has just invested in a new lighting system for its foyer, replacing all the Par 56 500w recessed lighting fittings for the latest Anolis ArcSource 48 MultiChip fixtures.

The ArcSource 48 MC was designed by Anolis specifically for this project. The brief given was to provide a LED fitting to replace the existing 500w halogen lamp. With energy efficiency the main focus, the design team at Anolis set to work developing a suitable LED replacement.

Silverscreen installation at Monash University Museum of Art Print E-mail

Eighty Anolis ArcSource LED fixtures were specified to illuminate the stunning 20 metre high public sculpture by leading contemporary artist Callum Morton, which forms an iconic entranceway to Monash University Museum of Art (MUMA)'s new Caulfield Campus in Victoria, Australia.

The visually striking work - a thought-provoking fusion of functional aesthetics encompassing ideas and definitions of architectural form, drive in screens, billboards, scaffolding and urban environments - was a special commission made possible by leading philanthropists Marc and Eva Besson.

Anolis Illuminates Soul of Surfers Paradise Print E-mail

Anolis Smart White LED fixtures are illuminating the contours of Soul, a 243m tall residential tower and retail complex located in the centre of Surfers Paradise on the Gold Coast. This state of art building, when completed, will become the second tallest building on the Gold Coast, behind Q1.

The design of the Soul includes 288 apartments on 77 floors and 5,700sqm of retail space. Tony Dowthwaite from TDLD was commissioned to specify the  feature lighting for the project . After careful consideration and several onsite tests he decided on the Anolis ArcPad 48 SmartWhite 25 degree LED wash fixtures to efficiently illuminate the intricate floral iron mesh dome surrounding the retail precinct of the complex.

Dynamic colours for streets of Perth Print E-mail

Actively cultivating an outstanding cityscape to it's  citizens and tourists, the capital of Western Australia is developing a growing  passion for illuminating its urban areas, such as parks, avenues and city buildings. ULA Group working together with local Perth lighting partner Light Application have been involved in another of the city's key lighting projects. Light Application has specified and installed a number of dynamic ,energy efficient RGB LED in ground lighting fixtures to uplight street scape trees along Victoria Avenue and Mounts Bay Road.

At the first stage of this project, 32 Griven DUNE 30 in ground fixtures were specified and installed to illuminate trees in Victoria Avenue . The concept was to wash the trees with deep, vivid colored light.

ULA Group held its Inaugural Golf Day on Thursday 2nd June at RACV Royal Pines Resort, Gold Coast, with special guests – John Saunders and Josef Valchar from Anolis. Leading lighting designers, architects and industry professionals came to challenge themselves on magnificent greens and enjoy a great day out with ULA team.

After registration, warm-up at the driving range and putting tips from the local club professional, players were divided into teams. The Ambrose format was chosen for the game so that everybody had great enjoyment in playing.

Anolis lights up the history in Melbourne Museum Print E-mail

Melbourne Museum, located in the Carlton Gardens in the Capital of Victoria, is the largest museum in the Southern Hemisphere. It welcomes its visitors to seven main galleries, giving them a choice of several unique permanent exhibits as well as special temporary projects.

Anolis ArcPad 48 wash lights were added to the lighting scheme along with conventional lights to create a special atmosphere for two main, permanent exhibits in Melbourne Museum’s – ‘Science & Life’ and ‘600 million years of Victoria’.
